Hello!
My name is Donna Turner and I live in Melbourne, Florida.
I started the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge at 150 pounds, although I had already been using Rachel’s recipes from her Instagram account since January. By the time the challenge began I had lost 13 pounds simply by choosing cleaner meals and following her simple, nourishing recipes.
I am 70 years old, married, and a proud mother and grandmother. I retired nearly 12 years ago. For enjoyment I paint watercolors, travel with my husband, explore wines and taste new ethnic dishes when I can.
Before Clean Eating, my biggest struggle was sugar. For the previous decade I tried and failed to cut back. As a 20-year breast cancer survivor, many of the treatments and medications I took made weight management harder, which only added to the challenge.
I recall a moment that became a turning point. A friend took a photo of me on New Year’s Eve and I was surprised by how I looked. It was a wake-up call. I hadn’t noticed the gradual weight gain because I simply kept reaching for cookies and ice cream and buying larger clothing sizes.
On January 2nd, 2018, I decided to try Rachel’s program and downloaded the “30 Days of Eating Clean” recipes. I committed to five days at first and that led me into the five-day challenge.

After only three days I no longer had sugar cravings. That early success gave me the confidence to continue. I completed the 7 Day Challenge without difficulty and felt ready — if a little nervous — to tackle the full 30 Day Challenge.
CleanFoodCrush and the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge taught me practical ways to eat clean in a sustainable way. The program provided structure, simple recipes, and a straightforward approach that fit easily into daily life.
The private support group was a major benefit. We received daily tips and encouragement from Rachel, Billie, Daisy and the rest of the team. The group atmosphere gave me accountability and friendly motivation, and it helped me stay focused on my goals.
Where I once reached for sweets, I now crave vibrant vegetables, fresh fruit, nuts, unsweetened coconut flakes and cacao. That change in taste and preference feels like a new beginning. I am truly grateful for the knowledge and habits I gained — they are tools I will use for life.
The results of the challenge are visible in my increased energy, my appearance, and the overall health of my hair and skin. I sleep more soundly and my self-esteem has improved significantly. Since the challenge ended, I’ve lost an additional two inches from my measurements.

This experience has been incredibly positive for me and my family, who supported me every step of the way.
My youngest daughter, Kristen, was already making Rachel’s recipes and she encouraged me to join the challenges. The recipes are flavorful and satisfying — my husband often compliments our dinners and says how much he enjoys them.
If you want to change your relationship with food, reduce processed sugars and additives, increase your energy and feel better overall, consider trying the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge. The guidance and community support can help you build healthier habits and make lasting changes to the way you eat.
